Anna Newell Jones is best known for founding the scrappy, down-to-earth, original No-Buy Spending Fast Challenge website, AndThenWeSaved.com (now under new ownership.) She created and ran the site from 2009 until its sale in 2023.

Her book, The Spender’s Guide to Debt-Free Living: How a Spending Fast Helped Me Get From Broke to Badass in Record Time, was published by William Morrow — an imprint of Harper Collins — in three languages and has given thousands of people hope that they can finally get out of debt once and for all.
Anna’s career includes roles as an international speaker, course creator, photographer, podcaster, and builder of online communities. With a dynamic career spanning multiple industries, her creative approach to problem-solving allows her to bring innovation and fresh perspectives to every project. Anna’s ability to juggle diverse interests has made her adaptable, skilled at connecting with people, and successful across a wide range of fields.
She enjoys a beautiful, full life in Denver, Colorado, alongside her sweet son, Henry. It is a life joyfully brimming with silliness, contentment, continual growth, and new discoveries.
Professionally, Anna now works remotely, managing operations for the stunning Las Palmas de Ojai, a wedding and corporate event venue in Ojai, California.
